Porto, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Argentinean midfielder Luis Gonzalez signed a five-year contract Monday with Portuguese side FC Porto. The 24-year-old, nicknamed Lucho, left Argentine club River Plate after Porto agreed to buy half of the player's registration. Gonzalez will join the blue and white for the 2005-06 campaign. Gonzalez began his professional career with Huracan in 1998 before making the move to River Plate in 2002. He also has a gold medal on his resume, winning it with Argentina at last year's Olympic Games. |
