Lisbon, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Croatian international Tomislav Sokota has been released by Benfica, according to club chairman Luis Fillipe Vieira. Sokota, 27, scored 21 goals in 60 career league appearances for Benfica. The striker's contract expires at the end of the season, and Vieira said the club did not plan on bringing Sokota back. Blackburn has been rumored to be interested in Sokota, but whether he will go to the Premiership side is unclear. |
