Aveiro, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Beira Mar has hired Luis Campos to be its new coach after failing to come to terms with Josef Chovanec. Chovanec, the former Czech Republic national team coach, was named the new Beira Mar boss last Tuesday. However, the deal was been aborted and opened the door for Campos. Campos began the season in charge of fellow Portuguese outfit Gil Vicente, but resigned on October 28 after a disappointing start to the season. He will now try to lead Beira Mar back to respectability as the club sits 16th in the table. Campos becomes Beira Mar's third coach this year, following Mick Wadsworth and Manuel Cajuda.
