Lisbon, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Gil Vicente has named Ulisses Morais as the successor for Luis Campos, who resigned earlier Thursday. Morais, the former manager of Estoril, is expected to make his debut against Benfica on Sunday. Morais led Estoril into the top division by earning two consecutive promotions. Gil Vicente is last in the Portuguese Superliga, with just three points from seven matches. Wednesday night's embarrassing Cup loss to second division side Odivelas apparently was the last straw for Campos. Gil Vicente said Morais was their first choice, and he will be with the club at least until the end of the season. |
