Rome, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has been suspended for three matches following an incident during a Champions League match on Tuesday. De Rossi was sent off in the 87th minute of Roma's 3-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, and was prepared to serve the automatic one-match ban. But after reviewing the play, UEFA extended the suspension to three games as video showed De Rossi kicking Leverkusen's Jacek Krzynowek. Additionally, Roma's Christian Panucci was suspended for two matches for an incident in the same match. Panucci was shown a red card in the 61st minute for elbowing Krzynowek. Roma has until midnight on October 25 to appeal the suspensions.
