Livorno, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Diego Milito and Maicon scored in the second half, converting both of Inter Milan's shots on goal, and the Italian Serie A leaders beat Livorno 2-0 to open a seven-point cushion atop the standings.

Juventus suffered a surprise loss at home to Napoli on Saturday, and Sampdoria settled for a 0-0 draw Sunday that left those two even on points and seven off the pace.

Milito fired Inter Milan into the lead in the 49th at Armando Picchi stadium, and Maicon sealed his side's fifth straight league victory and ninth in its 11 Serie A matches this season.

Dejan Stankovic set up the opener early in the second half, picking out Milito and the Argentine finished the play with his seventh goal. Milito left his man and then fired a low shot that left Livorno goalie Francesco Benussi.

Maicon accepted a pass from Patrick Vieira in the late stages to seal the win, slotting past Benussi from close range.

Julio Cesar made three saves for his fourth shutout of the season for Inter.

Livorno, which has just two wins, sits 17th in the standings.

Sampdoria, which wasted a chance to move into second place, survived a missed penalty from Paulo Vito Barreto in its scoreless draw against Bari.

Genoa and Palermo, seventh and 10th, respectively, also let Inter slip further away by playing to a 0-0 draw.
