Genoa, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Inter Milan extended its lead atop the Serie A table on Saturday with a convincing 5-0 win over Genoa at Comunale Luigi Ferraris. Esteban Cambiasso opened the scoring just six minutes into the match, and Mario Balotelli doubled the lead on the half-hour mark before Dejan Stankovic scored on a spectacular volley from midfield. The second half saw Patrick Vieira and Maicon score goals five minutes apart to cap the scoring. Inter now leads second-placed Sampdoria by three points, but they will have a chance to move back level with a win against Lazio on Sunday. It didn't take Inter long to seize control of the match as Javier Zanetti's long free kick fell to Cambiasso inside the box, and his shot took a deflection off of Genoa's Francesco Modesto, wrong-footing goalkeeper Marco Amelia and finding its way into the back of the net. Cambiasso then helped set up the second goal as he stole the ball in midfield and played it to Wesley Sneijder, who sent Balotelli through on goal for an easy finish. Stankovic then scored a fantastic goal from the halfway line right before the break when Amelia came way off his line to clear a ball, but hit it straight to Stankovic, who volleyed the ball over the head of the keeper and straight into the net. Vieira added his first goal of the season in the 66th minute with a volley from 10 yards, while Maicon took advantage of a failed clearance five minutes later to score Inter's fifth goal. Saturday's other match saw top-four sides Juventus and Fiorentina play to a 1-1 draw as Juan Vargas and Amauri traded goals in the opening 20 minutes.
