The 27-year-old has been on the fringes of the national side since 2005 but has proved to be firmly behind number one Gianluigi Buffon despite impressing for Palermo and, after a summer transfer, Genoa. "I always give my best, then we will see. In any case I can confirm that I have been in contact with Lippi and we talked things over," Amelia explained.
