Lexington, KY (My Sportsbook) - Hambletonian winner Muscle Hill tops a group of 13 entrants for Saturday's $700,000 Kentucky Futurity at The Red Mile. The one-mile race is the final jewel in trotting's Triple Crown.

Muscle Hill, the top rated standrardbred in training, will participate in his first two-heat event with the Futurity. In order to be declared the winner a trotter must win an elimination heat along with a second division of the Futurity. The 13 horses will be divided into two elimination heats.

Brians Sears will again drive Muscle Hill. The pair will be in the second elimination heat -- race eight -- and start from the outside post in the seven horse field. The first elimination heat will go off as race seven on Saturday with six horses.

Trained by Greg Peck, Muscle Hill is perfect in nine starts this year with earnings of $1.85 million. The colt will attempt to become the fourth straight Hambletonian champ to claim the Kentucky Futurity.

Because Muscle Hill did not race in the middle jewel of the Triple Crown there will not be a 2009 Triple Crown sweep. The Yonkers Trot was won by Judge Joe who is not entered for Saturday. Glidemaster in 2006 was the last trotter to complete the Triple Crown sweep. There have been eight Triple Crown champions.

Winner of his last 17 starts, Muscle Hill has lifetime earnings are $2.6 million for owners Jerry Silva, TLP Stable, Southwind Farm and Muscle Hill Racing. He won the $930,000 Canadian Trotting Classic in his last start at Mohawk Racetrack two weeks ago,

The fields for the two Kentucky Futurity elimination heats in post position order are as follows: Tom Cango, Mike Lachance; Airzoom Lindy, Tim Tetrick; Dr McDreamy, Homer Hochstetler; Big Bikkies, Ron Pierce; Neighsay Hanover, Trond Smedshammer and Windshear, John Campbell.

Explosive Matter, Ron Pierce; Broadway Bistro, George Brennan; Hot Shot Blue Chip, Stephen Condren; Even Better Odds, Tim Tetrick; Cesar A Blue Chip, Tim Tetrick; Russell Hill, John Campbell and Muscle Hill, Brian Sears.

Each elimination heat has a purse of $108,000.
