Turin, Italy (My Sportsbook) - Juventus maintained its perfect start to the Serie A campaign on Saturday as Vincenzo Iaquinta and Claudio Marchisio scored first-half goals in a 2-0 Juve win over Livorno at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Iaquinta took Juve's first real chance of the match in the eighth minute, while Marchisio made it 2-0 on the half-hour mark. However, it took a big effort from Juve goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to keep Livorno off the scoreboard, as the visitors were the better side after the opening 30 minutes.
Livorno has yet to record a win in its first four games, with two losses and two draws, while Juve is the only side with four successive wins, with Genoa and Sampdoria joining them with wins on Sunday.
Mauro Camoranesi had a hand in both Juve goals, and it was his cross in the eighth minute that allowed Iaquinta to nod the ball inside the far post past two defenders.
Antonio Candreva came close to leveling the match three minutes later when he rolled a shot wide of the net with Buffon beaten, but Camoranesi again played provider as he slipped a pass to Marchisio, who smashed a shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
However, Juve appeared comfortable with its two-goal lead and Livorno heaped pressure on Buffon.
Cristiano Lucarelli was denied by the legs of Buffon in the 34th minute, while the ensuing corner kick needed a good save on Diniz by the keeper.
The second half was more of the same with Buffon denying Antonio Filippini and Lucarelli again before producing a great stop on Tomas Danilevicius, effectively ending Livorno's hopes of a comeback.
Saturday's other match saw Napoli play to a 0-0 draw with Udinese.
