Coimbra, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - American teen Freddy Adu scored in the 90th minute Saturday to seal Benfica's 3-1 win over Academica in Portugal's Liga. Adu, who left Major League Soccer in late July to join Benfica, has two goals in league play for the Portuguese club. Adu came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute and helped Benfica score two goals in the final four minutes against Academica. Anderson Luisao put Benfica ahead with a goal in the 86th and Adu added his goal four minutes later. Benfica (7-0-4) is unbeaten through 11 league games and is one point behind first-place FC Porto. Adu, 18, has made three appearances for the U.S. national team.
