Lisbon, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - American Freddy Adu scored his first Portuguese Premier League goal Sunday in the 86th minute vs. Maritimo to lift Benfica to a 2-1 win and into second in the league table. With the result, Benfica is five points back of idle FC Porto, which plays at home to Leixoes on Monday. Maritimo took the early lead in the game when Brazilian winger Kanu beat goalkeeper Quim with a shot into the top of the net in the eighth minute before Oscar Cardozo scored the equalizer 10 minutes later on a penalty kick.
