Porto, Portugal (My Sportsbook) - Portuguese outfit FC Porto announced loan deals on Thursday that will send defenders Diogo Valente and Ezequias to CS Maritimo and SC Beira-Mar, respectively, until the end of the season. The 22-year-old Valente arrived at the UEFA Champions League contender in the summer from Boavista FC, while the 25-year-old Ezequias arrived during the same timeframe from Academica de Coimbra. The defending-Valente spent time with GD Chaves from 2003-2004, making 27 appearances with a goal to his name, while during his time with Boavista from 2004-2006, he hit the back of the net six times after 45 appearances on the pitch. The Brazilian Ezequias saw time with CS Alagoano in 2001 before joining CS Maritimo in the same year, staying with the Portuguese club until 2004. He was sent over to Gil Vicente FC for a season (2004-2005), then joined Academica for the 2005-2006 year. The defender has yet to score a goal in league play. This isn't the first move FC Porto has made as of late, as the league leaders have constructed a new contract for Portuguese Under-21 international Vieirinha, keeping the winger at the club until 2010.
